Kelly K. Bauer

An award-winning Interior Designer, leader, and principal of White Baux Studio, Kelly Bauer has designed public and academic libraries, higher education, government offices and commercial office spaces for over 30 years.  Ms. Bauer has a deep understanding of architecture and believes in a systematic approach to problem solving.  She is known for her ability to execute timeless, responsive, and high performance interiors.  Through her work with private and public institutions, Ms. Bauer engages user groups in the development of design solutions, which combined with her years of experience, generate new and innovative approaches to old problems.  Her rigorous standards for Interior Design are exemplified by her implementation of the High-Performance Interior standard for the new United States Consulate complexes in Matamoros, Mexico; Hyderabad, India; and Hermosillo, Mexico.

White Baux Studio, LLC, designs public spaces and workplaces with empathy for the user and develops a thoughtful, intuitive response to the challenges of each project.  Under Ms. Bauer’s leadership, the studio is focused on the fundamental practice of Interior Design, as well as a forward-thinking approach that incorporates wellness and the elevation of the human experience in the built environment.

Kelly is a national voice on the topic of Interior Design, earning the IIDA Southwest Chapter Lifetime Achievement award in 2015.  She continues to serve on juries as for notable awards such as the AIA National Honor Interior Architecture Awards in 2020, and the IIDA Hawaii Chapter Hou’lua Awards in 2019.  Kelly is an active participant and Fellow with the International Interior Design Association.  She supports and participates in several organizations that advocate for design excellence and well-being.

US Department of State, Overseas Building Operations — On-going Contract to design new office buildings that support the function of the US Embassy, Multiple Locations

Ten-O-One Central:  With Davis Architecture in the Lobby re-birth of 1001 N. Central.  Lobby renovation and courtyard connection.  Collaboration with Kris Floor of Floor Associates, Landscape Arch. , True North for the vital re-invention of this original 1920’s hotel, remodeled in mid-80’s office building and today a new collaborative HUB of RO2 Phoenix project for the downtown arts district as well as, upper floors for co-working and tech company start-ups.

Asante Library:  with Hayden Construction (DB) and Richard + Bauer.    12,000 sft new library project for the Maricopa County Library District.    Full services space planning, interior design.

Herman Miller Boat House Renovation in Holland Michigan – (3500 sft) interior refresh for the corporate retreat andsales training center.   Work included programming, interior design and CD for the renovation.  Our team worked closely to re-invent the space and the highlights of the companies culture changing edge with higher education learning spaces and the furniture that supports these spaces.
