A major objective for this project was the reassignment of space, yielding a more functional footprint for the mixed public and private use.  The building’s primary purpose is to support the campus as a central hub for the community college as well as public outreach.  The building cultivates a technology robust campus that resides in the middle of a growing community.  An open permeable plan was needed, with multiple access points to the building and a central point of control.  The learning spaces allow for a high degree of interaction in the library, tutoring center, computer labs, adhering space, community conference center, and faculty support areas.  The centers of excellence promote student success in a comfortable and inviting environment for both individual and group learning.

The new conference center sits aside the expansion and features a pre-function gallery and two large dividable meeting rooms that hold up to 200 people per room banquet style.  This area boasts a large catering kitchen to promote diverse functions such as community meetings, college events, public political town hall, and various other community engagement.
